Crystal Palace willing to settle on former Tottenham striker Adebayor

Crystal Palace have reportedly identified former Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor as a temporary solution to their protracted search for a top class forward.

Palace have as yet been unable to match the asking prices for their top two transfer targets, Fiorentina's Khouma Babacar and Chelsea's Loic Remy, leaving Adebayor as a far more affordable option.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that talks have already taken place between the Eagles and the Togolese international, who is currently a free agent.

It is understood Adebayor could even sign before Palace's clash with his former club Manchester City this weekend.
