Crystal Palace U23 coach Richard Shaw is happy the club is utilising the loan system.

The likes of Levi Lumeka, Jason Lokilo and Ryan Inniss has all headed out on loan.

"I am a big fan of the loan system if you get them to the right club, and the right style of play," he said.

"I did that when I was a kid, I went to Hull City and it was the best thing I did, it makes you grow up, you are fending for yourself and there's not the comfort blanket of coming in and the usual routine of coming in and getting fed. There's none of that.

"I am a massive fan of that, not just for football reasons, but for social reasons as well, and I think it is only good."
