Crystal Palace targeting non-league whizkid Oguntayo

Crystal Palace are pursuing the signing of a non-league star for the summer.

The Premier League team have been sending scouts to watch Samuel Oguntayo, who plays for Kingstonian - a semi professional team.

The news of their interest comes from The Sun, which claims that scouts were present during the team's 4-2 loss to Cheshunt on Wednesday.

The 17-year-old has impressed this season, with his first senior opportunity coming in January.

In fact, he is now training with the Crystal Palace under-23 team, and a permanent deal could be possible.

His style is most similar to Manchester City left-back Benjamin Mendy, per the source.

Palace are working hard to find other young talents, as they believe it would help them reduce the cost of fielding a competitive team in the Premier League moving forward.
