Crystal Palace take new look at Swansea manager Steve Cooper

Crystal Palace are taking a new look at Swansea City manager Steve Cooper after a deal for Lucien Favre collapsed.

The Sun says Cooper is now seen as the leading candidate as Palace look to replace Roy Hodgson.

Palace have been linked with Cooper previously, with the Swansea boss having a £3million release fee.

Fulham also expressed interest in Cooper as a potential replacement should Scott Parker leave, but they were unwilling to pay the compensation package.

Cooper took Swansea to the Championship play-off final last season, where they lost to Brentford.

He was appointed as Swansea manager in 2019, having previously coached England at Under-16 and Under-17 levels, winning the Under-17 World Cup in 2017.
