Crystal Palace have lost Julian Speroni for eight weeks.
The Sun says Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson faces a goalkeeping crisis as he has just Wayne Hennessey for a crucial part of the relegation fight.
Hodgson has already been left reeling by Wilfried Zaha picking up a knee injury – and now must cope without Speroni.
Speroni, 38, also picked up a knee injury in training and further tests have shown he will not be back until April.
Palace were trying to sign Getafe keeper Vicente Guaita during the January window but failed to complete a mid-season deal but will land him in the summer.
They are paying the price now with injury to Speroni, with the Argentinian veteran winning his place back in December.
