Crystal Palace striker Connor Wickham says he's feeling strong after playing his third consecutive preseason match.
The 26-year-old has been injured intermittently over the past two seasons.
Speaking after Tuesday's loss to Barnet, Wickham told Palace TV: "I feel better than I did last year for sure. I think I did more in the first week than I did in four weeks last year. Personally I'm feeling good, I'm feeling strong.
"I felt good out there today but each day I'm working hard. I took a different approach this year and it seems to be working so the main priority is to stay fit and be available for the manager.
"Mentally I'm more concerned about keeping myself fit and looking after myself in different ways. It seems to be working at the minute. I'm feeling good on the pitch I'm feeling good every day in training. I'm feeling stronger than last year so hopefully this year can be a lot more successful personally than it was last year."
