Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend has defended his lack of celebration when he scored against Tottenham in the FA Cup.
Palace won the game 2-0, with Townsend netting the second goal.
But he did not celebrate, which angered a few Palace supporters on Twitter.
Townsend was quick to point out his long history with Spurs, which was the reason for his non-celebration.
He told BT Sport 2 after the game: "I probably wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for Spurs, so to celebrate against them would be disrespectful.
"I took a few penalties for Spurs, so I knew they would be telling the keeper to go the other way, so I just slotted it in and helped calm the nerves a bit.
"We got the deserved clean sheet in the end, hopefully that will give us confidence and we will have to see now who we get in the next round."
