Emmanuel Adebayor's exile from international football looks set to end this week.
The Crystal Palace striker has not featured for Togo since June last year amidst claims that the Togolese Football Federation (FTF) was run in a chaotic fashion and that he preferred to put his club career first when attempting to focus on finding a new team.
However, FTF secretary general Pierre Lamadokou has revealed that talks have been held and Adebayor, 32, is back in the fold and could even play in the African Cup qualifier against Tunisia on Tuesday.
"Adebayor joined the national team yesterday after negotiations with FTF officials. He trained just like his team-mates," he said of the country's top scorer with 31 goals.
"He will be with his team-mates again on Monday afternoon for the final training session before the game against Tunisia."
