Crystal Palace's Garvan on verge of Championship move

Owen Garvan suggests his time at Crystal Palace is set to come to an end this summer.

The 26-year old midfielder, who joined the Eagles from Ipswich Town in 2010, found himself on loan with Millwall at the end of last season and is now pondering a future away from Selhurst Park.

"It looks like my days as a Crystal Palace player are numbered and hopefully I'll get something sorted in the next couple of weeks," he told the East Anglian Daily Times.

"My agent is talking to a few Championship clubs and the most important thing for me is to go somewhere where I'll play regularly, because there is nothing worse as a footballer than being on the bench."

Former Republic of Ireland U21 international Garvan is being linked with a possible return to Ipswich where he spent the first five years of his senior career.
