Roy Hodgson's Crystal Palace have had an £18m bid for Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun turned down.

Tosun in currently attracting attention in Turkey, netting 14 times from 25 outings, and fellow English clubs Tottenham, Newcastle and Everton also monitoring the situation.

Besiktas vice president Ahmet Nur Cebi told TRT Spor of the offer submitted: "We are not sure Cenk will go. We want Cenk to stay.

"€20 (£18m) is a very small figure for him".
