Crystal Palace are ready to offer new terms to Christian Benteke.
The 30-year-old's deal runs out in the summer and though Palace want to streamline their squad after adding Jean-Philippe Mateta they are making plans to offer the Belgian another year.
But Benteke's agent Kismet Eris said: "I rather think the club are hoping to get Christian to sign a contract extension, who will be free in June."
The former Aston Villa and Liverpool frontman is heading into the final year of his £100,000-per-week contract at Selhurst Park.
Benteke has just six goals over his last three seasons for Palace, and has struggled to live up to the club record £32million fee paid when he arrived from Anfield in 2017.
