Crystal Palace loanee Ince not yet ready for Liverpool

The father of Crystal Palace loan signing Tom Ince says his son is not yet ready to move to a bigger Premier League club.

22-year old winger Ince signed with the Eagles from Blackpool for the rest of the season despite interest from a number of other clubs including Liverpool, Swansea City, Stoke City, Sunderland and Hull City.

But father Paul Ince, recently sacked as Blackpool manager, says the England U21 international is still a few years away from playing for one of the top English clubs.

"Liverpool were in but I don't think Thomas is ready to go to Liverpool yet," he told Sky Sports.

"Brendan (Rodgers) has done very well there and he does play the kids but for his progression as a footballer it needed to be a Stoke, a Swansea, a Palace or a Hull at this point.

"Maybe in two or three years' time that might be a move for him."
