The Mirror says Palace are closing in on the £12million capture of Sassuolo striker Khouma Babacar.

The Eagles are finalising a move for the Senegalese international, who will be brought in to spearhead their attack.

Babacar, 25, has only just joined Sassuolo after his loan from parent club Fiorentina was made permanent on July 1.

But now it has been tied up, Palace have wasted little time in offering the Serie A club a quick profit on the forward.

And they are now poised to accept an offer from the south Londoners.
