FA drop charges on Crystal Palace keeper Hennessey

Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey is vindicated over an alleged Nazi salute photograph.

A few months ago, his teammate Max Meyer had put up a picture on social media of the players on a night out.

Hennessey was in the motion of a gesture that looked like a Nazi salute.

However, he said that he was merely trying to get a waiter's attention.

A review by the Independent Regulatory Commission has led the FA to drop charges against Hennessey.

The player had shown photographs of him making a similar pose during matches when he was trying to get the attention of his teammates.
