Finland international Nikolai Alho is attracting Premier League interest.
The Mirror says Crystal Palace face a battle with Hannover 96 to land Alho.
The right-back, 26, has a release clause of just £15,700 in his contract with HJK Helsinki that expires at the end of this month.
Alho, who has a British passport through his mother, favours a move to England, and the Sky Blues are among the Championship and League One sides to have shown an interest.
But Hannover are making the bigger play to take him to Germany.
