Crystal Palace have launched a bid for Brentford striker Ollie Watkins.

The Daily Mail says Palace have made an £11million bid for Watkins.

The 23-year-old has been on the radar of several Premier League clubs but the Eagles have shown their hand by submitting an opening bid for him.

Watkins' team-mate Neal Maupay has also been linked with a move to Palace for most of the summer with the club desperate to bolster their attack before the window shuts.

Roy Hodgson recently bemoaned the club's lack of ambition in the market but they are now ramping up their attempts to bring in fresh faces.
