Crystal Palace draw with AFC Wimbledon

Crystal Palace could only manage a 2-2 draw with AFC Wimbledon during their latest preseason friendly.

The Eagles were ahead until late in the game, but they were pegged back and had to settle for a stalemate.

The good news is that central defender Mamadou Sakho managed to start his first game in five months for the Selhurst Park side.

Brandon Pierrick managed a brace for Palace, but goals from Finlay Macnab and Tommy Wood gave Wimbledon a respectable result.

Palace will now step up their preseason preparations as the Premier League season is less than two weeks away.

They will be hoping that at least one or two signings are complete by that point.
