Crystal Palace have denied making an offer for Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster.
Palace have denied claims that they reportedly lodged a formal bid worth up to £25million to sign Rhian Brewster which would have offered Liverpool first refusal to re-sign the striker for a high price.
Sky Sports reported on Monday that Crystal Palace have sent in an offer matching Liverpool's valuation of £25m.
It was said that Palace had offered to pay £19m up front, with £6m in add-ons.
The report added that Liverpool will also have first refusal to buy Brewster back, but that they would need to pay £37m to do so.
Roy Hodgson is said to have been a big fan of Brewster's ever since spotting him in Liverpool's academy during his time as manager at the club.
But Palace chairman Steve Parish tweeted of the reports on Monday afternoon: "We have asked Sky to take this down as it is a total fabrication from start to finish.
"We have not made a bid formal or informal."
