Crystal Palace defender Sakho: Some thought I'd be PSG's Maldini

Crystal Palace defender Mamadou Sakho has spoken of his split from PSG.

The France international, in 2013, left PSG for Liverpool.

He recalled to So Foot: "Some saw in me as a kind of Maldini of PSG, who would stay at the club for 20 years. It could have been. At the time, I said that nobody could buy my pleasure to play football. And that pleasure, you can not feel it when you sit on a sideline.

"I grew up with the passion of PSG. Younger, I sometimes had places by the city hall of Paris.
