Crystal Palace defender Tyrick Mitchell was pleased to be part of their friendly win against Ipswich Town.
Mitchell says he is enjoying linking up with Wilfried Zaha as he adapts to a more attacking role under Patrick Vieira.
“He's a quality player," Mitchell told Palace TV after the preseason victory over Ipswich. “We're working well together. Every time I get it, I know he's always showing for the ball to attach one-on-one, so it's good to have him in front of me.
“Last year I was more defensive. I have it in me so it is good to show it on the pitch."
He added: “We can achieve whatever we set out to achieve. If we keep improving each preseason game and start the season strongly, I think it will be a good season."
