Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi is committed to England.

Guehi was born in Ivory Coast capital Abidjan before moving to London when he was one, and is still eligible for the African nation because he has only featured for England in a friendly so far.

The Sun says the highly-rated 21-year-old, who made his debut in the match against Switzerland at Wembley on Saturday, will choose to stick with the Three Lions - even if Ivory Coast make an attempt to lure him from England.

Ivory Coast manager Patrice Beaumelle said earlier this week that he was "working" on persuading Guehi to represent the Elephants.

Beaumelle claimed he tried to contact Guehi "several weeks ago" to gauge whether he would be interested in turning out for his team.
