Crystal Palace confirm positive test behind Zaha absence from Burnley loss

Crystal Palace have confirmed that star man Wilfried Zaha is self isolating after testing positive for the coronavirus.

Zaha was unable to play against Burnley in the Premier League on Monday night.

Palace lost to Burnley 1-0 on Monday night, with Chris Wood getting the only goal of the game for the home side.

The Ivorian had tested positive during the latest round of team tests for COVID-19, but he does not have any serious symptoms and should make a swift recovery.

Manager Roy Hodgson told Sky Sports: "He has tested positive unfortunately for coronavirus so is self-isolating, and is awaiting the results of the next test.

"He is not feeling particularly ill, but unfortunately the test proved [positive], and he is following the procedures."
