Crystal Palace chairman Parish: They've sat with us plotting all our downfall

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish says there can't be any coming back for some counterparts who were part of the Super League breakaway.

The project is now in tatters after the six Premier League clubs withdrew their commitment yesterday.

Speaking on BBC Breakfast today, Parish said: "Let's separate the people and the football clubs. I've got nothing but respect for all of the fans and these football clubs and what they stand for. But this is about a tiny group of people who have decided they know best.

"The miscalculation on this is quite spectacular and I see this morning some of them still haven't stood down, which is extraordinary.

"Some of those relationships will be difficult to repair because people have lied to us. They have sat in committees and haven't come clean. They have been in a Zoom bubble plotting everyone's downfall and we do need contrition from them."
