Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira is pleased with their summer market work.

For victory over Reading on Saturday, Vieira praised the impact of Conor Gallagher and Marc Guehi, as well as the incoming Joachim Andersen and Michael Olise.

“It's always good to have good players," he told the club's website. “We know their strength, we know what they can bring to the football club, and when you have those type of players that bring more confidence and more competitiveness in the field as well, it will raise the quality of the players around.

“Because everyone will want to compete for the starting places around. I'm really looking forward to the next weeks, and players coming back as well, and what I want from them is to make it difficult for me to make a decision."
