Crystal Palace boss Pardew has no concerns for Stoke under ‘terrific’ Hughes

Crystal Palace's Alan Pardew has backed his Stoke City counterpart Mark Hughes to turn things around.

Calls of 'You're getting sacked in the morning' rang around Selhurst Park on Sunday as the Potters were beaten 4-1 by Pardew's Palace.

But the Eagles boss insists Hughes is a top manager who has the ability to get things right very quickly.

"This is an experienced manager with very, very good players," Pardew said.

"The media spotlight turns on to the manager when the results aren't good.

"Mark will deal with that. I have no concerns for him because he's terrific. He's having a bit of down time, but he'll be fine.

" have heard those chants against me. I don't think it's right."
