Crystal Palace boss Hodgson: Zaha returning ahead of schedule

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson says Wilfried Zaha is returning early from injury.

Zaha suffered a knee injury against Newcastle United last month, with Hodgson dismissing reports the 25-year-old could miss the rest of the season.

The Palace boss said: “Wilfried is recovering ahead of schedule.

"But his running at the moment is pretty much in straight lines but we haven't done those difficult things that need testing out for knee ligament injuries.

"That entails the twisting and turning and then of course the contact with other players when you get back into normal training."

Meanwhile, Martin Kelly and Jeffrey Schlupp could be fit for the Manchester United clash on Monday evening.
