Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson wants a prolific goalscorer at the club next term.
The London club are likely to spend in the summer as they wish to build on this season's impressive performances under Hodgson.
But one area where they have lacked is up front, as only Norwich have scored fewer Premier League goals this term.
And Hodgson wants someone in the mould of Jamie Vardy and Danny Ings.
"My simple answer is we'd look for a good one and one with a proven goalscoring record, that would be rather nice," Hodgson said when asked by reporters about who he wanted up front next term.
"Because if you look at the teams doing rather well this year, outside of course of the City's and United's who have quite an array of riches, you see Leicester and what Vardy does with the goals and how he has helped them along the way, and you look at Southampton with Danny Ings in particular.
"You are talking about two guys that everybody knows not only are they good players but when they are in your team there are going to be some goals.
"We're aware of that. I'm not prepared at the moment to talk about specific profiles, we discuss that internally.
"So I can only give you the simple answer that we are looking for good strikers and ones who know where the goal is, because we don't believe that we don't create chances or don't have enough possession of the ball in opposing team's half, it's just this year we haven't taken as many of the chances we have created that I or the team would like."
