Crystal Palace boss Hodgson unhappy with Sako injury

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodsgon is not happy with the injury suffered by Bakary Sako in the 1-1 draw against West Ham United at the Olympic Stadium.

Palace started the game very brightly, and took the league through Christian Benteke. Unfortunately, it did not last long, with Mark Noble equalizing from the spot.

The game petered out into a draw, and the Sako injury was a massive negative for Palace. Manager Hodsgon spoke about the injury in the post-game interviews.

"We won't know how bad it is until tomorrow but my medical staff and sports scientists are very good and have an unerring knack at being right with their initial prognosis, and they aren't very optimistic – they don't think it's very good at all," said Hodsgon.

"The positivity of getting a point here is offset by paying such a high price if Bakary Sako is now going to miss a large part of the season, simply because we don't really have the luxury of losing a forward player because we are so short in that area."
