Crystal Palace boss Hodgson laments Zaha & Tomkins loss

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson was disappointed that his side will have to deal with suspensions to Wilfried Zaha and James Tomkins.

Palace succumbed to a 3-2 defeat to West Ham United at the London Stadium at the weekend.

Both players were awarded yellow cards in the game, which means they will be suspended for the upcoming game against Leicester City.

"The defeat hurts me, but it hurts me even more that one of the things we were desperate not to happen was a yellow card for Wilfried Zaha, James Tomkins or Luka Milivojevic, and two of them have managed to get yellow cards to rule themselves out of next week's game [against Leicester]," Hodgson told Palace TV.

"That is going to be an important game for us, against Leicester, and losing two players of that quality is not going to be easy for us.

"It rules out two of our most important players, who have both been doing exceptionally well."
