Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson admits he needs to add to his squad next month.
Hodgson has been reliant on a short squad over the busy Christmas period, but wants to strengthen next month.
The 72-year-old is set to sign a contract extension at Selhurst Park, which he hopes will persuade the board to back him in the transfer market.
“If we can get through Christmas and the chairman can give me four or five players to strengthen the squad, then we'll do extremely well," Hodgson said.
“We've talked about it for a long time so maybe this is the transfer window we'll get them."
