Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson is eager to find a new striker signing.
The Daily Mail says Palace's transfer activity after Christmas will impact Christian Benteke, who is paid hefty wages of around £120,000 per week. The 28-year-old striker will have to fight to stay.
Benteke's contract expires in the summer of 2020, leaving Palace with little time to recuperate as much of their original £32million fee as possible.
After scoring 15 league goals in his first season at Selhurst Park, Benteke contributed just three last season and has none so far this campaign following injury issues.
