Crystal Palace boss Hodgson doesn't want Zaha sold

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson insists he doesn't want to see Wilfried Zaha sold.

Zaha has been continually linked with a move away from Palace for more than a year - but Hodgson says he will not consider any last-minute offers before Monday's deadline.

"I have been told and Wilf has had it made clear that we are not interested in late bids," said Hodgson.

"If it was going to happen, it would need to happen in a time frame to see what we could do. I hope it will not happen now and I want to continue working with him."

Hodgson does not expect the Eagles to bring in many more new faces before the deadline, playing down rumours of a bid for Brentford's Said Benrahma.

"We are not desperately searching any more and it is more a case of one or two players who have not played much over the last couple of seasons now showing what they can do," he said.

"Bottom line is there is no real dialogue between us and Brentford and we certainly haven't discussed buying a player for that position, but who knows."
