Crystal Palace boss de Boer puts hand up for Chelsea defender Zouma

Frank de Boer has focused his attention on Kurt Zouma.

According to The Sun, the new Crystal Palace manager is unwilling to pay £30m for Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho, and has instead shifted his focused to the Chelsea stopper.

Zouma, who rode the bench for the Blues for much of last season, has been linked with loan moves to Lyon and Marseille in recent weeks.

But despite the speculation, Zouma has publicly declared his desire to succeed at Chelsea.

"I'm very happy at Chelsea. I hear the rumours, it's flattering. It means I'm a player people are looking at, but I'm not going to stop there," he said.

"My objective is to stay at Chelsea. Next season, we'll start from scratch, there will be a lot of games."

De Boer is hoping to tempt the 22-year old away from Stamford Bridge with a loan deal instead of a permanent move.
