West Brom defender Nathan Ferguson has rejected a new contract offer.
Crystal Palace have held a long-term interest in the 19-year-old and a £10million move for him collapsed during the winter transfer window.
However Palace have been handed a boost with West Brom revealing Ferguson has rejected the chance to remain at the Hawthorns.
"We have made what can only be considered a very attractive offer to Nathan but he intends to pursue his career elsewhere," Luke Dowling, West Brom's sporting and technical director, told the club's official website.
"It's a disappointment for everyone here but it is the player's prerogative."
Palace hoped to bring in the right back after striking a deal rising to £10m for the England Under 20 defender back in January. But concerns around a knee injury held up the move.
