Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie has revealed that his club targeted young QPR full-back Darnell Furlong in Saturday's 3-1 win at Selhurst Park.
Bolasie troubled the teenaged Furlong all through the first half and provided assists for two of the Eagles' three goals before the R's full-back was substituted at half-time.
"My aim was to go at him straight away," said Bolasie, who was named Man of the Match as Palace moved eight points clear of the relegation zone under new manager Alan Pardew.
"I knew he had [struggled] in the last two games and I was not going to let him settle. A couple of people spoke to me about it and I was not really aware because I do not look at the opposition like that.
"I know it is cruel but it is football."
