Crystal Palace academy chief Issott recognises Wan-Bissaka could leave

Crystal Palace academy chief Gary Issott is delighted seeing Aaron Wan-Bissaka on the brink of an England call.

And Issott, who oversaw the right-back's rise through the youth ranks, doesn't necessarily think that transfer interest is a problem for the south London club.

He told the Daily Star: “I think it's a nice position to be in because you want people to want your players and you want players that have value.

“Attention will come when you've got good players and a good manager so it's a good situation to be in whatever happens in the summer.

“In any career you'll have decisions whether to stay or go. It's not easy and you just have to weigh up all the factors and ultimately make the call that you think is going to benefit you."
