Cruzeiro president Gilvan Tavares has encouraged Inter Milan to join the transfer battle for Lucas Silva.Real Madrid are clear favourites to land the young Brazilian, but Tavares hopes other clubs, like Inter, join the race to drive up his price.
He told Calciomercato.com: "Lucas Silva is a great player. We speak of a prospect for which the absolute minimum starting price is €15 million. There was an initial proposal from Real Madrid but it is an offer too low.
"There's been no offers from Inter, we also speak of other Spanish clubs. But we'll wait for real offers, concrete."
Tavares continued: "The player is liked by Real Madrid, but if Inter or other clubs are interested in him and would raise the offer then we are ready to talk about it."
