Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic says Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric deserves the Ballon d'Or.

Modric is among the favourites for this year's gong.

Dalic said, "Does Modric deserve the Ballon d'Or? He deserves it this season because he's played fantastic football.

"He won trophies. He was the best player in the world.

"He deserves to be the best player in the world with this Ballon d'Or."
