Cristiano Ronaldo willing to take hefty pay-cut to get Man Utd move

Cristiano Ronaldo is prepared to take a massive cut on his wages to leave Manchester United.

CBS says Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes has told clubs across Europe he is willing to take a 30 per cent cut on his salary to leave Old Trafford.

It's been suggested Ronaldo not only wants to join a Champions League club, he also wants to be part of a team where the burden does not rest solely on his shoulders.

For the moment, Atletico Madrid have emerged as a potential option for Ronaldo, though even with his reduced salary, his personal demands are still out of reach.

As such, no serious offer has been lodged with United for the 37 year-old.
