Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo wants to see the club expand their Portuguese contingent.

Feeling increasingly isolated inside the Real locker room, Ronaldo has recommended to Real president Florentino Perez young Porto fullback Diogo Dalot.

Dalot, 18, is a Portugal U20 international and was promoted to the Porto first team this season.

Don Balon says Ronaldo has heard great things about Dalot's progress and potential, urging Perez to take a close look at the youngster.

Dalot would arrive as cover for Dani Carvajal, without being an outright threat, and would be groomed to eventually succeed him.

The youngster is tied to Porto until 2019.
