Crewe keen for return of former Fulham striker Dalla Valle

Crewe hope to re-sign Finnish striker Lauri Dalla Valle, who had a successful two months at Gresty Road two years ago when he arrived on loan from Fulham. The 23 year old moved to Belgian second-tier side Sint-Truiden on a three-year contract, but was let go in the summer.

And he has been training at the League One club with a view to earning a deal.

"He hasn't played since April, so we did not know what physical condition he'd be in," Crewe boss Steve Davis told BBC Radio Stoke. "But he's a great goal threat. We know he will offer us something. It gives everybody some hope if we can get somebody like that."
