Craddock chasing new Wolves contract

Jody Craddock is delighted he chose to stay with Wolves.

The experienced defender was all set to move to Australia at the end of last season.

Craddock has hopes of getting another 12-month deal, which is all the more remarkable considering three years ago he looked as if his future lay in the Championship with Stoke.

He told the Daily Star: "Pitting your wits against Didier Drogba or Wayne Rooney is great. It would be a dream to get another year on my contract.

"It is fair to say I thought my days here were numbered. It looked that way. I would have happily signed for Stoke but things didn't work out that way and so I'm here trying to help make sure Wolves stay up.

"I think we can. We've shown what we can do on our day. We've beaten Tottenham twice and no-one expected that.

"It seems like the big games just come up every week in this league. Now it's Chelsea and nobody expects us to win.

"But why not? It would be a great boost for us if we could get something."
