Coyle pleased with speedy Cahill recovery

Bolton boss Owen Coyle has revealed that Gary Cahill's blood clot has dissolved. The centre-back looked set to miss the remainder of the season after being diagnosed with a clot in his arm last week.

Coyle does not want to get too carried away until Cahill has met with a specialist later in the month.

However, he has been delighted with the progress made already by the England hopeful.

"We don't want to get ahead of ourselves but the clot has dissolved and we'll revisit it in two weeks with a scan with a top specialist in that field," said Coyle.

"Having done that we will see what the picture is from there but there should be some news in two weeks and hopefully it will be of the better variety."
