Liverpool ace Philippe Coutinho has reassured the club fans that he will be staying at the Merseyside club for the foreseeable future.
The Brazilian midfielder has been heavily linked with a summer move to Barcelona, but following the 3-0 home win over Middlesbrough, he reminded everyone that he has a long-term contract with the Reds.
When asked where he will be playing his football next season, he said: "A lot of people have been asking me this, but I don't understand. I have a contract with Liverpool - a long contract. This speculation is for other people only."
The 24-year old signed a new five-year deal with the Reds just about four months ago. In fact, manager Jurgen Klopp revealed that Coutinho had signed the new deal because he believed in his vision for the club.
Klopp said: "We spoke a lot around signing the contract. We all believe in this project. How I know it in this moment – we all want to be part of it. It is a fantastic club in a good situation, not perfect, but a good situation.
"Yes, he is now a big player for his country - but he became this player at Liverpool. He knows about this. That is what is really special about him. He really likes being here, it's not like someone has to force him. His family really likes it too."
