Former Olympique Marseille coach Rolland Courbis has scoffed at Cristiano Ronaldo's exit claims on Saturday.

Ronaldo has cast doubt on his future with Real Madrid after cryptic comments made at the end of Saturday's Champions League final victory over Liverpool.

But Courbis believes it was all a deliberate ploy by Ronaldo to dominate the post-match headlines.

He told RMC: "If he's in Bale's place and puts in a double, I do not think we have the same statements afterwards.

"It is the fact of not being the number 1 of this final that does not suit him. And what could have been said in two or three days, it escapes him now."
