MLS veteran Alvaro Saborio has signed a new contract with DC United.
The 33-year-old Costa Rican forward joined the Black-and-Red in July via a trade with Real Salt Lake and has now extended his stay at the RFK Stadium.
Per league and club policy, the details of the deal have not been released but DC general manager Dave Kasper admitted it was a great thrill to continue on with the RSL legend for at least next MLS season.
"We are pleased to have reached an agreement to retain Sabo for the 2016 season," Kasper said.
"He made an immediate impact when he joined us this summer and scored important goals down the stretch.
"We look forward to his continued contributions."
After joining United, Saborio scored four goals in 15 appearances in both MLS regular season and the playoffs.
