Costa: Critics will be 'sorry' after Chelsea title win

Chelsea forward Diego Costa believes the Blues imminent title win will shut up all the people who have criticised him.

Costa has been the centre of recent speculation surrounding a £650,000-a-week move to China, and his 'waving' celebration after scoring against Middlesbrough on Monday night done nothing to quash the rumour.

However, Costa, who is third in the PL golden boot race with 20 goals, believes criticism of his 'bad boy' style of play will be forgotten if he wins his second league title in three years with the club.

Speaking to DIRECTVSPORTS: "I am very happy. I know that people here, they are always hitting me so much.

"But what I am saying is people here in London, the press, they are always looking for something, speculating.

"Saying that I am leaving, but I am scoring goals, we are on top of the league, we can be champions.

"In three years in Chelsea I can be champion twice which is not a little thing. I hope we can win the league and enjoy and the critics have to be sorry."

Costa can help Chelsea clinch the title with a win in the Blues away trip to West Bromwich Albion on Friday.
