Lazaar is on-loan at Cosenza and has been forced to train at home due to Italy being on lock-down as the virus sweeps through Europe.
Speaking to Chronicle Live, he said: "I'm in self-isolation due to the restrictions put in place by the government.
"I can still train while at home thanks to the prepared plan from my personal trainer."
Lazaar feels the loan move to Italy was the right decision for all parties but hopes that his performances may result in another chance to prove himself.
"We are all convinced that we have made the best choice for me and for Newcastle where I would like to be involved next season - obviously if I deserve it and conquer it on the field here."
