Corrigan warns Man City boss Mancini of growing Hart dilemma

Former Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Corrigan says manager Roberto Mancini faces a dilemma over Joe Hart's situation.

The 23-year-old's appetite for Premier League football was whetted by an impressive season on loan at Birmingham City, where he won their player of the year award. But he could be faced with playing second fiddle to Shay Given after the Irishman's sooner-than-expected recovery from a shoulder operation.

"I know Joe will want to play and that was the case with me," Corrigan told the Manchester Evening News. "It's no good being sat on the bench. Who plays is down to the management but Joe has just had a great season and he won't want to sit on the bench next season.

"The worst scenario is that he comes back and isn't in the first team. You have a disgruntled player who's had a great season, gone to a World Cup and is sat on a bench. That's a recipe for dressing room disharmony."
