Brazilian side Corinthians want to bring Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani back to South America.

Per Ekrem Konur, the 34-year-old could even leave the Old Trafford club in January.

The signing of Cristiano Ronaldo and injuries have curtailed Cavani's involvement this season, despite an impressive return of goals last term.

Recent media reports in Spain have also linked Cavani to Barcelona, as their manager Xavi seeks to wheel and deal with limited resources to improve his squad in January.

Cavani may even seek to finish out the season at United, and then move to a team of his choosing in the summer on a free transfer.
